CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said the new government would formulate necessary laws to ensure education and safety to street children.
Receiving a memorandum submitted by Nepali team which is going to participate in a Street Child World Cup to be held in Russia this year, Chairman Oli said that it was necessary to pay attention to the condition of street children.
He said, “It is the matter of happiness to Nepal for its participation in the Street Child World Cup. The upcoming government will provide support to prepare necessary infrastructure to organize such type of programme.”
Submitting the memorandum, team captain Roshan Bhujel expected government’s role for their management after returning from the Street Child World Cup.
The memorandum also demanded protection of street children, orphan and helpless children and guarantee to their education. The Street Child World Cup is taking place from May 19-27 in Russia.
